| Your esteemed for 30th was duly noted
& we have delayed an answer in order to hear from a party to whom
we have recently delivered an Engine for which they cannot pay {the
Rogersville & Jefferson RR} but not having heard as yet we
want to say that our machinery is much engaged in making articles for
the defence of the Country that we fear we shall be unable to furnish
you the Engine you require by the time indicated. |
| We may be able to deliver you the Engine
referred to above when we hear from the parties to whom it was sent
& it is part what you require. |
| The spikes & chairs you require can be
supplied we think when you need them. |
