Mr. Cuyler {President,
Central (of Georgia) RR and South Western RR} & other Georgia RR
Presidents, have agreed to transport for us from South Western
Georgia to Dalton 15,000 Bushels Corn, to be used at our Hurt Furnace
in Western Virginia, without which we shall be unable to Continue our
Operations. In consideration of this ????? agreed to supply the Rail
Roads such articles as they may require in our line, in payment of
their bills, such articles to be a privileged class. We want to ask your
Cooperation in this matter & hope you will undertake to transport
it on your Coy to Bristol without change of cars. We will undertake to
refund the amount of your freight promptly on whatever you may order. |
We have already sent you to the Va. &
Ten RRd 50 kegs spikes, which we hope you may be able to receive
promptly. Be so good as to inform us if you can render us the
assistance we need in getting on our corn. |
