We wrote you on the 7th Inst. ??? the
order on Dr. Lewis for an Engine recd from Supt Fain {Fane,
President, Rogersville & Jefferson RR} in part payment of
our ??? of the R&J RRd Co. {Rogersville
& Jefferson RR} & hope you can make ????? in the
matter. |
Dr. Lewis informs us under date 5th Inst.
that he had shipped us from Cartersville Geo. 200 Tons Pig Metal since
5th Augt. Of this we have received only 4 Car loads {32
tons}& 2 {16 tons} are at
Lynchburg. Will you be good enough to inform us how much of this Metal
is at Knoxville & what other ??? are there, if any, for us. Iron
shipped to us over the same roads from this parting has come to hand
while Dr. Lewis' metal has not. Please let us know the time of the
??? |
