Dear Sirs, |
We have yours 20 ult. Our Establishment at
present is much engaged in manufacturing for the Government and we
fear that it will be ?et of ??? to complete the work you require in
any manner the ??? unless the War Department would require it to be
done as a military necessity. We have one of the Engines under way and
the most serious difficulty in completing the whole is in obtaining
Boiler plate an article not heretofore manufactured by us but which we
expect to be forced to do by the necessities of the Country. |
Cant you induce the War Department to
purchase the Engines for you payable in clothing for the soldiers? |
Truly |
