Dear Sir, |
Our friends in South Carolina want to ship
us their Old Rails and other materials, say scrap & other articles
unfit for use, and we are willing to take it at a considerably
increased rate of freight compared with the Water line. We address you
in order to ascertain at what rate you will transport what may be
forwarded to us this fall and winter on your Road amounting probably
to several hundred tons. |
We are making every effort to obtain materials
to enable our supplying the Government and our Rail Road friends with
articles now much required by the exigencies of the Country and hope
your usual liberal views on such subjects may be even enlarged on
occasions like the present. |
If you have old Rails to sell or Exchange
for New we shall be pleased to hear from you |
Very respectfully |
J. R. Anderson & Co. |
