We have yours 12th Inst and it gave us the

full quantity of iron which you had shipped in exchange therefor. We
have written to Col. Young {a Young was a
Director of the Charlotte & South Carolina RR in 1861} (not
informed of the names of the present Officers) to ask that he will see
to the matter for us and we hope that you or Mr. Carrington will do
what you can to have the matter arranged. |
We hand you Inv. and Rail Road receipts
for the Spikes you ordered some time since. Stmt $801.80 to your
debit. Twenty kegs of these spikes were forwarded about 10 days ago. |
We will allow you $32.50 per ton for your
Old Rails delivered on the Cars of the Charlotte & S. C. RRd Co,
payable on other Materials, the price & terms allowed therero. If
you ship, forward the car load left behind ??? from N. & S. Road
