Dear Sir, |
Yours with 200 50c notes recd. & I
send you back 100$ for them. I doubt if I will be able to get off some
that you sent me viz "War Bank." "William Parrott"
"Henry Peck" &c but will try. I received our
advertisement for change of Schedule to take effect next Friday but
not in your hand writing nor signed by you, nor do I know the hand. I
therefore enclose it to you to know if it is right. Did you get my
letter about the Schedule? |
I sat in Spotswood waiting especially to
see Bagby last night until nearly 12 oclock & was very much
disappointed at not meeting him. I write to him today through the
mail. ***** |
Our turn table has completely given out tonight,
& Jones Engine is stuck on it half way around resisting the utmost
I could do with 15 hands. I shall try it with 30 hands if necessary in
the morning. the fact is the flooring of the pit is perfectly rotten,
& will not hold the nails through the circle at all. I do not see
how it can be repaired without putting in a new floor, even to make it
temporarily serviceable. |
Very truly |
