The President suggested the propriety of
the Board authorizing the issue of $20,000 of the 7 pr ct Bonds of
this Company to be pledged by Capt Jno M Robinson as collateral
security in England for the loan he is empowered to make in behalf of
the Company, for the purchase of supplies, whereupon the following
resolution was unanimously adopted. |
Resolved, that the President &
Treasurer be and are hereby authorized and instructed to issue the 7
pr ct Bonds of this Company authorized by the Act of the Legislature
of Va, passed Feby 13th 1856, and by the Resolution of the
Stockholders of this Company adopted on the 28th of May 1856 to an
amount not exceeding Twenty thousand dollars, and to transmit them to
Capt. Jno M Robinson at London to be by him pledged as a collateral
security for such loans as he may negotiate on behalf of this Company,
for the purchase there of Railroad supplies. |
