Directors' Meeting of the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac RR,

The President reported to the Board the
results of sundry Surveys and Estimates he had had made for a railroad
connection between this Company's road and that of the Richd &
Petersburg Rail Road Company and of negotiations and correspondence in
relation thereto had with the Governments of this State and of the
Confederate States and with Sundry rail road Contractors. |
Whereupon on motion it was Resolved That
the President be authorized to make such an arrangement as he may deem
most expedient for constructing and using a rail road connection if
practicable along 8th Street below the depot of this Company and that
of the Richmond & Petersburg Rail Road Company; The Board deciding
it not expedient at this time to incur the expense of the longer, more
costly, but more eligible route for said connection recommended by the
President. |
The resolution was adopted, Messr Munford,
Mills, Haxall & Daniel voting aye and Mr Meyers voting no. |
