{From the minutes of the
Directors' Meeting of the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac RR,
June 4, 1862} |
|
Col. Mumford stated that the meeting had
been called at his instance, in consequence of the absence of the
President, to take into consideration the propriety of resuming the
running of the Passenger trains on the road which had been
discontinued on account of the near approach of the enemy, and moved
that Mr. Myers be called to the Chair, which was unanimously agreed
to. |
Col Mumford then moved that the running of
the Passenger train between Richmond and Ashland be immediately
resumed, and continued so long as it may be deemed safe to do so by
the Superintendent. Carried |
