{From the minutes of the
Directors' Meeting of the Central (of Georgia) RR, August 19, 1864}
The application of G. W. Youngblood of
Company B 12th Regt G. V. for relief in consequence of the loss of his
money & clothes by the Yankee Raid at No. 17 Gordon. The applicant
after his capture at Gordon escaped from the enemy & proceeded to
No. 15 & gave notice to the up Passenger train of the danger of
proceeding thereby saving to the Company a large amount of property.
On motion it was resolved that the sum of
Five hundred Dollars be paid to him in consideration of his valuable
services to this Company.
