Governor of Florida |

|
Sir, |
I have been informed that the
line of {Florida} Railroad connecting bed
at Keys and Fernandina is now comparatively valueless to the Confederacy
in consequence of both termini of the roads being in possession of the
enemy. Under these circumstances I should be pleased to receive your
views of the expediency of removing the Iron & Telegraphic wire and if
you concur with me in opinion I will direct the General commanding in
Florida to have the rails & wire removed. |
Very Respectfully |
Your obt sevt |
