You will proceed without delay
to Fernandina, Florida, and confer with Major H R Teasdale Chief Q. M.
of the Dept of Florida, who will be instructed to afford you all the aid

Confederate States are expected to arrive at Smyrna. They will be hauled
from that point to Enterprise. It is believed that Transportation can be
procured between those points conveniently. You will inform yourself

take land Transportation to Enterprise. From Enterprise the goods will
be shipped to Jacksonville, thence by Rail Road to Monticello, thence
overland to Quitman on the Savannah Albany & Gulf Rail Road to Savannah,
and on the Richmond, Virginia. The goods will be consigned to Lieut Col
Larkin Smith, Asst Q. M. General Richmond. Should it be necessary in
your judgment to deviate from these instructions as to the points on the
Georgia & Florida Rail Roads, designated where the transfer of the goods
should be made you are at liberty to do so. The necessary assistance you
need in carrying out your orders herein you are authorized to engage. |
