The Superintendent of the
Georgia Rail Road says that he has no trains upon the Road running
specially with a view to transporting troops to this Point. That the
transportation is now out of his control and used for the purpose of
removing Government stores. That while this state of things continues,
no troops will arrive at Augusta, except such small bodies as can be
transported on the daily Passenger & Freight trains. |
