| I have the honor to state to
you that Lieut. H. L. Norfleet, who was temporarily assigned to duty
with me, has received orders to report to his command. I am therefore
left without an officer or expert to direct the removal of iron from
the Aug. & Sav. R. Road {the Augusta &
Savannah RR}. Lieut. Norfleet has had experience in the work
now required, and I would respectfully ask that he may be retained, if
in your province to retain him. |
