Colonel,
   Jackson's Brigade of Clayton's Division AOT arrived last evening at this place. The organization is as follows:
1st Confederate and 66th Ga Regts consolidated
29th & 30th Ga Regts                                "
25th Ga Regt
1st Ga Battalion Sharp Shooters:
  The aggregate present is 200
  The total               "      " 181
  The total effective        " 155
   This command I am informed, requires the following arms, accoutrements, &c:
5 guns of calibre 57
4000 Cartridges for calibre 57
1000         "                   "    69
10 Sets of accoutrements
50 Haversacks
50 Canteens & Straps
   The Superintendent of the Georgia Rail Road says that he has no trains upon the Road running specially with a view to transporting troops to this point. That the transportation is now out of his control and used for the purpose of moving Government stores. That while this state of things continues, no troops will arrive at Augusta except such small bodies as can be transported on the daily Passenger & Freight trains.
