Council of the City of Richmond held on Friday the 26th day of May

Present: David J. Saunders, Esquire,
President. Messrs. Hill, Wynne, Talbott, Scott, Grattan, Denoon, and
Burr. |

The President announced that
the meeting had been called at the request of a member of the Council,
to consider an application of H. D. Whitcomb, Esquire, General
Superintendent of the Virginia Central Railroad, to be allowed to lay
down a temporary track from the Virginia Central to the R, F & P {Richmond,
Fredericksburg & Potomac RR} depot on Broad Street. |
Mr. Hill, thereupon, presented
a communication from Mr. Whitcomb, General Superintendent, making the
request that the Council would allow him to make the temporary track
as stated. The communication was read, and on Mr. Hill's motion the
request was granted. |
