Dear Sir, |
You will observe from the
enclosed copy of my letter to the Superintendent of the North Carolina
Rail Road and the endorsement thereon, that the assets {probably
"he assents"} to the passing over his Road, of your
train and cars, tendered to the Government in your communication to me
of the 18th instant. The Governor of North Carolina endorses your
communication above referred to, in the following words:
"Approved and agreed to." The Governor further releases all
of your trains from their present employment on the part of the State. |
I trust you will give us all
the help in your power. |
Very Respectfully, |
Chas. S. Carrington, Maj. & Q. M. |
