Dear Sir, |
I am just in receipt of your letter of
26th Inst. and I send you a detailed statement of the material gotten
from Mr. Avery's Road {Alabama & Florida (of
Florida) RR} which is as follows: |

60 Rails 16 ft long, 41 Rails 17 ft long, 109
Rails 18 ft long, 192 Rails 19 ft long, 307 Rails 20 ft long
& 616 Rails 21 ft long, making a total of 1325 Rails =
8781 Lineal yds at 59 lbs per yd. |

Of the lighter Rails there were 857 made up as
follows: 1 Rail 10 1/2 ft long, 1 rail 17 1/2 ft long, 1
Rail 18 ft long, 1 rail 19 ft long, 11 Rails 20 ft long, 6
Rails 21 ft long, 1 Rail 22 ft long & 835 Rails 22 1/2 ft
long, making together 19220 1/3 ft or 6404 83/100 Lineal yds
at 50 lbs to the yd = |
