| Dr. Grant informs me that you will hire
the Govt. 14 negroes provided you are employed to direct the work of
your hands. I am willing to hire the hands with you conditions. The
price for able-bodied so?? hands to be $40 per month and rations. Your
pay will be nominal, say $75 pr month and rations. All lost time other
than sick time to be deducted. I cannot say how long a time the force
will be needed. If you agree to this arrangement take the hands to
Social Circle {on the Georgia RR} on Monday
