Colonel, |
I have the honor to acknowledge the
receipt of your letter of June 16th on the subject of $50,000 remaining
to my credit in the hands of J. G M. Ramsay Esq C. S. Depository |
The removal of Mr. Ramsay from Atlanta
before the receipt of your letter has prevented me from communicating
with him. |
Your acknowledgement of the 23d of June
has also been recd. |
Your letter of the 24th June and copy of Resolution of
the Senate have also come to hand. Please find herewith a brief report
and copy of contract. The account events in and around Atlanta have
resulted in separating me from my office papers. By the advise and
instruction of Brig. Genl Wright Comdg Post I removed the office from
Atlanta and have not fixed on a locality from which to report by letter
to you. |
I am Colonel |
Very Respectfully |
