| The sum placed to my credit at the Depos.
Knoxville will be transferred to Maj. Norqust to be applied to
rebuilding Bridges destroyed by the last raid. |
| After deducting $1466.96 for 14 1500/2240
tons of iron, your balance will be $4291.12. |
| I send today dft. on Depos. Knoxville for
$1300 & cash by express $2700, making $4000, leaving $291.12 to be
arranged when the papers are finally fixed. The orders to fortify
Atlanta have drawn me off from attention to your accounts. Please have
duplicate Pay Rolls prepared, so that they may accompany the duplicate
vouchers which will embody the amt. of all the Pay Rolls. Send me the
vouchers mentioned in your letter. |
