Dear Sir, |
I send the negro Joe to you by the train
today. He is now able to do some work, and is probably as nearly
recovered as he will ever be. I enclose copy of letter recd. from
Richmond on the question of damages to Joe. You will see that a special
act of Congress will be required in your case. I will make the necessary
certificate if you desire to place the mater in the hands of our
Representative in Congress. |
You will please call at my office when you
come to Atlanta and draw the amount due you for negro hire. |
