| The instructions from Richmond referred to
in your favor of the 2nd inst. have not been received. I am called to
Selma Ala. today, and hope to return in the early part of the coming
week. In event that you should decide to duplicate Ten. River Bridge
{Nashville & Chattanooga RR}, I have no
doubt of my ability to supply the necessary lumber, but cannot rely on
prompt transportation. I have no materials at this time on hand that can
be used for that bridge. |
