Mr. E. A. Smith has been selected to
attend to the inspection of lumber at Wadley & Pike's lumber yard near
Millen. Said lumber being furnished by order of the Confederate Govt.
for duplicates of the Holston and Watauga bridges in E. Tennessee
{on the East Tennessee & Virginia RR}, and
also to accompany each train of lumber to its destination near Atlanta.
I ask for him your aid, and that of your Agents & Conductors, as far as
consistent, in the discharge of his mission. |
