| Dear Sir, |
| The bill that I first sent up to you for
expenses of getting up hands to work on fortifications was for the
services I had reimbursed myself & afterwards my deputy came in with an
accounting of Expenses paid out & per dieum pay which I added in to the
Bill. I have a sho?? from Col. Capus that he will pay that so you may
strike that out of the Bill & I will call on him for the money. |
| & as to the pr cent for paying out the
money it was your own offer if you are not disposed to pay that you can
pay what you please. |
