Captain, |
I forwarded on yesterday to the care of A.
L. Maxwell Jr. Knoxville, a few blank vouchers for your use. As an
account at the Treasury Dept. is with myself, you will please insert my
name officially in the receipt. I also sent through Mr Maxwell the small
sum you requested $350. |
Your letter with dimensions of bridges has
been received. Quite satisfactory. |
I feel that you should be advised of
charges made to the Presdt and Secy. of War at Richmond, and therefore
enclose copy of letter of Col. Benj. E. Green Dalton Ga. to whom Genl.
Duff Green had requested me to remit funds in payt of the iron he had
ordered us by telegraph to take at Jonesboro. |
Yours very truly |
