Colonel, |
Would it be proper for me to encourage the
Ala & Tenn River R. R. Co. to proceed with the grading & bridging of the
R. Road in Alabama from Blue Mountain to the Ga State line, leaving the
question of iron rails to be adjusted hereafter? |
This would require a distinct stipulation
of the proportion of the loan to be applied to the complete preparation
of the Roadway, including the delivery of Cross Ties. The working forces
can be obtained more readily at the close of the year than any time
thereafter. The same reason will apply to the work in Georgia, only that
the amount of work in Ga. is less, and can be accomplished in a shorter
time. |
Very Respectfully |
