Dear Sir, |
I am now authorized to enter into contract
with the companies holding charters for a link of Rail Road from Rome
Ga. to Blue Mountain Ala. for the complete preparation of the Roadway,
and delivery of cross ties for said Road leaving for the present the
question of iron rails. |
Considering the work already done by the
Geo.& Ala. R. R. Co. between Rome and the state line, I have assumed
that the proper course would be to proceed under that charter. If the
Dalton & Jacksonville R. R. Co. desire to compete for the contract, and
rely upon their own charter please forward from that Board a definite
proposition, directed to me at Selma Ala. |
Very Respectfully |
