I have been patiently awaiting those cars
from Atlanta, but they have not arrived. I wrote not long since and
recd. no response. I am having quite an easy time, good boarding &c. I
would be pleased to send you some lumber as Very & Sturgis have an
assortment. If you will send a bill of the cars by the Conductor they
will be very sure to come. Please write soon and let me know whether any
cars have been started for this point. Paper is not very easily gotten
here, please send some Government paper and envelopes and I will report
to you by letter as often as you may require. |

Since writing the above I have loaded six
cars, five from your hand and one I caught by class watch. I loaded with
2 inch plank and two with 4 by 6 scantling. |
Amount of two inch plank = 17280 feet |
