| I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of
your letter of Aug 12th enclosing decision of the Hon Secy of Treasy in
reference to $50,000 in the hands of J. G. M. Ramsay C. S. Depository.
The removal of Mr Ramsay from Georgia and my inability to learn his
whereabouts has prevented me from obtaining the proper paper as directed
in your letter. I send herewith duplicate abstract and connected account
current for 2nd quarter of 1864 as directed by you. |
