| Returns for the 3rd quarter of 1864. My
property returns for 2nd & 3rd quarters 1864 will be made up & forwarded
soon. Being without a clerk and having all the field duties of Engs of
this Post to perform I am unable to keep up promptly with the
Regulations of the Bureau. |
| No draft has been recd on the last
Requisition in my favor. You will see by the Informal Statement
accompanying the quarterly returns that I have already borrowed $39,330
in anticipation of the draft. Bills now due will absorb the last
requisition. Please make an additional call for $100,000. |
