I propose to take rails from Sav. &
Charleston Rail Road as far as can be obtained, to tear up the Road
between Millen & Augusta {Augusta & Savannah RR},
and the branch from Camak on Geo. R. R. to Mayfield in the direction of
Milledgeville. If iron is needed for the Macon & Western and Atlanta &
West Point Rail Road, I would tear up the Macon & Brunswick R. R. which
will give forty miles. I cannot communicate with Gen. Beauregard. |
