| Reply to your telegram asking whether iron
would be sent to you was delayed on account of uncertainty of the
disposition that would be made of it by Gen Hardee. |
| I can now inform you that so much as may
be taken from the C&S RR {Charleston & Savannah
RR} will be consigned to you at Augusta as fast as transportation
can be furnished for it. |
