Directors' Meeting of the Alabama & Mississippi Rivers RR, ? ?, 1860} |

| Whereas the Board of Directors of the Ala
& Miss R Rail Road Company have heretofore authorized the opening of
Subscriptions to the Stock of this Company for the purpose of
Constructing the Rail Road of said Company westward from, Union Town in
the direction of Meridian in the State of Mississippi in the words
following: To wit -- |
| The undersigned in order to aid in
extending the Ala & Miss R RRd Co from Union Town in Perry County west
by way of Demopolis so as to intersect with the Miss Road to Vicksburg
at Meridian and with the Mobile & Ohio Road take the amount of stock in
the Ala & Miss Rail Road Co. annexed to their names
{not transcribed} respectively and promise
when called upon by said Company or its lawful agent to pay ten per cent
of said subscription and to execute our notes for the Balance of the
same payable in six semiannually installments from the time of the call
of said 10 per cent, it being understood that this subscription is to
become absolute whenever said Rail Road shall by competent authority be
located on the road through the Canebrake via Demopolis. |
