| Annual Convention |
| The annual convention of stockholders in
the Alabama & Mississippi Rivers Rail Road Company assembled this day at
Demopolis at 12 oclock M. |
| Dr G G Griffin President of the board of
Directors called the convention to order, when the Hon W E Clarke of
Marengo was appointed chairman and G G Lyon Esq., assistant, to the
Secretary of the board (W S. Knox) |

| Resolved That the President and Directors
be and they are hereby instructed to adopt early and prompt measures for
the completion of the earliest possible day, and that if any reasonable
sacrifice of the interest of the Stockholders be necessary to secure the
object, they be instructed to submit to the same if by so doing the
completion of the road can be materially hastened. |
