Uniontown Nov 5th 1861
   The Board of Directors of the Ala & Miss R RR Company met this day at 9 oclock A. M.
   Present G. G. Griffin President & Directors Jas L Price Charles Walker P J Weaver Jno W Lapsly & Jas M Lee
   After organizing the following proceedings were had.

   Resolvd That the President be authorized to hire, at his discretion one hundred hands for the ensuing year for repairs of track operating the road & for construction.

   Resolved That the new Depot at the head of Broad Street, Selma, will be continued as a Passenger Depot, but the Superintendent is authorized to make arrangements for the receipt & shipment of freights at and from the old Depot in the vicinity of the Company Machine Shop, and that until otherwise ordered by the Company Board, the passenger cars will leave the Junction at the Ala & Tennessee River Rail Road in the afternoon, as soon as practicable after the arrival of the passenger cars of the Ala & Tenn R RR, allowing time for change of Passengers and Baggage not later than Ten Minutes after 2 oclock, and proceed thence to the passenger Depot & take on the Passengers & Baggage at that point, leaving there not earlier than 10 minutes after 2 oclock PM

   Resolved that the President be authorized to Borrow upon such conditions as he may deem suitable or advantageous to the Company, upon its credit, one hundred and fifty to two hundred thousand dollars, of Confederate Bonds provided he ascertains that such Bonds can be used in the purchase of Iron for the construction of the Road.
