| An Act to amend the Charter of the Alabama
& Mississippi Rivers Rail Road Company |
| Approved November 29th 1864 |
| Section I Be it enacted by the
Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Alabama in General
Assembly Convened, That the Charter of the Alabama &
Mississippi Rivers Rail Road Company be so amended as to change the name
and title of said Company from the "Alabama & Mississippi Rivers" to the
"Selma & Meridian." |
| Section II Be it further enacted
That the Capital Stock of said Company be and is hereby increased from
One Million to Two Millions dollars, Provided, that all the rights,
powers and privileges and duties pertaining to or imposed upon said
Company by its present name, are hereby made applicable to it by the
name in this act mentioned. |
