| The Board of Directors met this day at
their office. Present G G Griffin President and Directors Jas L Price
Charles Walker and R H Hudson |

| W S Hunt Sec was appointed by the
President to write to Mr Owen Avery President of the Florida Rail Road
Company {Alabama & Florida (of Florida) RR},
to ascertain when the Rolling Stock of that Company can be purchased.
And was also authorized to act for this Company in taking Legal steps
for the purpose of condemning real estate in Selma for use of this road
and for the Union Depot. |
| On motion of Col Price it was |
| Resolved That the President be and he is
hereby authorized to procure by condemnation or otherwise such real
estate in the towns of Demopolis and Selma as may be required for the
purposes of the Rail Road Company, including right of way for Road bed,
and for necessary and commodious passenger and freight depots. |
