From February, 1863 through July, 1864, the
Confederate Army Engineer Bureau at Mobile paid wharfage (storage,
transportation and loading of goods on and from ships or boats) on a
variety of goods that appear to be related to work on the forts and
obstructions, including mules, anchors, rope, cement, barrows, wood and
railroad iron. The wharfage was paid to Charles P. Gage. |
