John Kleckley was born in
1820 and died in Lexington, S. C. in 1887. He married Susan J.
about 1850 and they had at least three children. John was the
Lexington sheriff for about 7 years before the war; he was a
clerk with Real Estate of $4,000 and Personal Estate of $6,000.
After the war he was a teacher and was elected the County Probate
Judge, holding the position for seven years and died in office. |
