|
John Henry Averill was born
in 1843 in New York and died in Charleston in 1909. He married Susan
Marshall right after the war and they had five children. Susan died
in 1922. John became a commission merchant by 1870 and a train
master (Master of Transportation) on the South Carolina RR by 1880. |
Many records and vouchers for his
war service are obviously missing. |
