It had 2 drivers all the way forward and 2 drivers under the cab. Lack of
a guiding truck caused it to derail often. General Sherman was rebuilt in 1852. It was named for Republic of Texas' General Sidney Sherman, commander of the 2nd Regiment at the Battle of San Jacinto. |
