At least 3 locomotives were seized by the Confederate government November 25, 1862 -- Dart, Industry and Perseverance. Dart was given to the Mobile & Great Northern and one to the Alabama & Florida (of Alabama). Two (including Javelin, December 1863) were used on the Alabama & Tennessee River RR. Dart & Perseverance were appraised in Montgomery in November, 1863 and ended up on the Wilmington & Manchester RR. Industry was in use on the Alabama & Mississippi Rivers RR until June, when it was sold to the Alabama & Tennessee River RR. |
