| The entire line from Vicksburg to Meridian was the Southern (of Mississippi) RR. The road from Raymond to Bolton had been removed several years before the war, though the grading was probably still visible. The road going north through Jackson was the New Orleans, Jackson & Great Northern RR; the Mississippi Central RR began in Canton and went north. The road east out of Meridian was the Northeast & Southwest Alabama RR |
