After blowing off her fire box in December, 1859, Halifax was completely rebuilt, adding 2 feet to her boiler to add weight and steaming power. Tempest may have been sold or scrapped.

Leased Raleigh to Locomotive Shops in Raleigh (10/13/62 - 3/15/63)

1864

Spark was purchased from CS government on February 26. It had been captured on the Peninsula after the Seven Days Battle in 1862.
