Transportation for horses from here to Petersburg will not
be furnished by the authorities they must go by land arrangements
subsequent to my former despatch will enabled me to send one of Stuarts
Brigades at 9 o'clock. If you are in a hurry two of the brigades had
better march as the whole division cant be sent by rail in less than
twenty four hours trains carrying 1800 only can be shipped every five
hours {Richmond & Petersburg RR}. |
