There are Three Hundred &
fifty one Bales compressed Cotton in S C R Road cotton yards belonging
to the State of Georgia & bro't here by the State's Trains {Western
& Atlantic RR} & I as the agent of the State of Georgia
& representing & controlling the cotton for the State
Telegraphed yesterday for the State Train to be sent here immediately
for the removal & protection of the lot of cotton at some safe
point & ask of you to have such cotton protected till Train
arrives, if possible. & also ask your protection of the State
Train for the purpose of transporting the cotton. Train will in all
probability reach here tomorrow. |
