To the Prest & Directors of Macon &
Brunswick Rail Road |
Macon, Ga. |
|
Sirs, |
I regret exceedingly to learn
that there is a possibility of your road being torn up and removed for
the construction of some distant road. We are as you aware largely
engaged in the Manufacture of Field Transportation for this department
and since the destruction of our mill property by the enemy on the
Central R. Road, had turned our attention to the section of country
along your line of rail road, to obtain our supplies of lumber, coal
& wood and trust that we shall be enabled to draw largely upon the
transportation of your road in future for similar supplies. |
Very Respectfully |
B. Werner & Co |
