Dear Sir,
I hasten to make inquiry of you in regard to your Proclamation whether I will be subject to a draft or not if I should fail to appear on the forth day of March and inrole my name on the muster role as I am a bridge Watchman in the imploy of the Georgia RR and Co.
If I am Subject and not exempt please tell me know at an early date.
The Company has informed me that I will be exempt but as their seams to be a dout with Som whether I would be exempt or not I have taken the liberty to write you this Note hoping you will put me rite on the subject for I dont want to be drafted for I had rather Volunteer than be drafted
